Hackathon Nova 2026 is Nepal's premier student-led technology innovation challenge, bringing together the brightest minds to solve real-world problems through cutting-edge technology. This 60-hour coding marathon is where ideas transform into impactful solutions.

Organized by the Computer Association of Pokhara Engineering College (CAPEC) and Information Technology Engineering Club -PEC(ITEC-PEC), this national-level hackathon provides a platform for students, developers, and innovators to showcase their skills, learn from industry Co-ordinators, and compete for exciting prizes.

Rules & Regulations

Team Composition

  • Teams must consist of 3 members
  • Cross-institutional teams are not allowed
  • Single participation is strictly not allowed
  • Team formation can be done before or during the event

Eligibility

  • Open to all undergraduate and graduate students
  • Should bring your ID card
  • Valid student ID or proof of enrollment required
  • Participants must be 16 years or older

Technology & Tools

  • Any programming language, framework, or platform allowed
  • Teams must bring their own laptops and devices
  • Internet connectivity will be provided

Originality & IP

  • All code must be written during the hackathon period
  • Pre-existing ideas can be used, but implementation must be new
  • Participants retain full intellectual property rights
  • Plagiarism or copying will result in immediate disqualification

Submission Requirements

  • Working prototype or demo is mandatory
  • Source code must be uploaded to GitHub
  • Project documentation and README required
  • Presentation slides (max 10 slides) must be submitted

Disqualification

  • Violation of code of conduct or event rules
  • Plagiarism, cheating, or dishonest practices
  • Late submission or incomplete deliverables
  • Inappropriate or offensive content

Important: The judges' decision is final and binding

All participants must adhere to the Hackathon Nova's Code of Conduct throughout the event
