Official rules and guidelines for Hackathon Nova 2026
1. Registration & Eligibility

All participants must be currently enrolled students (undergraduate or graduate) or recent graduates
(within 1 year).

Registration must be completed through the official registration link and before the specified
deadline.

Accurate and truthful information must be provided during registration. Inaccurate information may
lead to disqualification.

Teams must consist of 3 members per team. Solo participation is not Permitted

Cross-institutional teams are not allowed.

Team changes after the hacking period begins are only allowed with explicit permission from
organizers.

All code must be written during the 60-hour hackathon period. Pre-existing projects/codebases are
not allowed.

Third-party APIs, libraries, and open-source assets are allowed if properly credited and publicly
available.

Final submissions must include a repository link (GitHub/GitLab), a demo video or live link, and
project documentation.
Participants retain full ownership of the intellectual property they create during the hackathon. However,
by participating, you grant Hackathon Nova a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to:

Display, screenshot, and promote your project for marketing and archive purposes.

Share your project details with sponsors and partners.
Organizers reserve the right to disqualify any team or individual for:

Plagiarism or use of pre-assembled projects.

Violating the Code of Conduct.

Unsportsmanlike conduct or cheating.

Inaccurate information at registration.
6. Liability & Indemnification
CAPEC and Pokhara Engineering College are not liable for any lost, stolen, or damaged personal property.
Participants are responsible for their own health and well-being during the event. By participating, you
agree to indemnify and hold harmless the organizers from any claims arising out of your participation.
